Last week, Max Verstappen, disguised as “Franz Hermann,” garnered attention while testing a Ferrari 296 GT3 at the Nurburgring Nordschleife with Emil Frey Racing. He aimed to avoid attracting fans to the pit lane by using the alias. Alongside Verstappen was Chris Lulham from Team Redline, who remained anonymous despite driving the car throughout the day and sharing the experience. Despite his success in sim racing, Lulham found driving the Nurburgring for the first time to be an unparalleled experience. The test was aimed at logging miles on the track and building a baseline for the team, with both drivers needing permits to potentially race there in the future, including the 24 Hours of the Nurburgring for which Lulham aspires to compete.
